These creamy vegan pasta sauce will leave you licking your lips. You won’t believe that this is nut and oil free – and 100% plant based! Ingredients:
2 cups water (or plant based milk of your choice)
1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp white miso paste
1 tsp garlic granules
1 tsp onion flakes
1 tsp coarse celtic sea salt
1/8 tsp white pepper (plus black pepper to serve if you wish)
1/4 cup hummus
1/2 cup hemp seeds
200g/7oz white flesh sweet potato, cooked (or sweet potato/potato of your choice)
Directions:
Place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
Serve as is or heat up in a saucepan and serve with your favorite pasta and sides.
Also delicious as a dipping sauce for baked potatoes!
Store in an airtight container or glass jars in the fridge for up to 1 week. Or you can freeze for up to 3 months (but fresh is always best).
