Looks delicious! I’ve heard of black bean brownies before, but always been a bit skeptical…I may just have to give it a try now. Do you use canned black beans?
These are so tasty… you wouldn’t even know there are black beans in there. I cooked my own beans, but you can use canned and drain them off 🙂
I came across your recipes recently and have a question to this one: can you use kidney beans instead of black beans or would that change the taste?
Thanks in advance!
Hi, I don’t think kidney beans will work. They have a different taste and color.
Hi Anja, I made these yesterday and they are delicious! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. Just a note to anyone out there who hasn’t got a food processor. I made mine by hand. I mashed the beans while they were still warm and then added all the other ingredients. It was surprisingly easy to achieve a ‘batter-like’ texture. They were a little more rustic than yours Anja, but still super tasty!
I look forward to each new recipe…thank you! XX
Thanks Caitlin. So glad you like the recipe 🙂
I don’t have a food processor as well so thanks Caitlin, now I dare to make these brownies as well. And thank you Anja for sharing this recipe!
Enjoy 🙂
I didn’t care for the cinnamon it and they were to soft !
Did you follow the metric measurements?
It is a Happy Herbivore recipe.
