This homemade granola cereal is the best ever! Great for a quick, easy and healthy vegan breakfast… or sprinkle on top of a smoothie bowl, cereal or even to jazz up a dessert. YUMBO! Much cheaper than buying it from a shop pre-made and you know exactly what goes in it. Best of all, this is an oil-free recipe!

Make Your Own Homemade Granola Cereal
Ingredients
- 2 cups Oats
- 1 cup Cashew Nuts (or any nuts or seeds of choice) non salted, raw variety
- 1/2 cup Pumpkin Seeds/Pepitas
- 1/2 cup blanched almonds
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tsp coarse celtic sea salt
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/3 cup Maple Syrup
- 1 cup Dried Raisins
- 1 cup Dried Flaked Coconut

- Preheat oven to 175C/350F.
- Line a baking tray with some non-stick parchment paper and set aside.
- Add all of the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and stir through to combine the spices with the nuts and seeds.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir until really well combined (use your hands if you need to).
- Spread the mixture evenly onto the lined baking tray and place in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Give the granola a toss through and re-spread on the tray and bake for an extra 10 minutes or until browned to your liking.
- Add in the raisins and flaked coconut and stir through gently. Set aside to cool. Keep in mind that the mixture will continue to harden as you let it cool.
- Once cooled, place in an airtight container or screw top lid jar and enjoy!

Hi – what flavour does the garam masala give it? I thought that spice was just for curries – and could you leave out the salt?
Hi Kaz… it gives an earthy spice depth of flavor. The salt rounds out all of the flavors when combined. You can leave it out if you prefer.
