Marinara Sauce
This quick and easy no oil recipe is so fresh and full of flavor and can be easily customized to suit your taste! It is 100% plant based vegan with no cholesterol.

  1. Core tomatoes and put a cross slit in the bottom of each one. This will help skins to peel off easily once blanched.
  2. Bring a pot of water to the boil and blanch tomatoes for 1 to 2 minutes in the boiling water.
  3. Take tomatoes out of hot water with a slotted spoon and place into a bowl of cold water (ice water works best).
  4. Remove skins from tomatoes and chop into small cubes.
  5. Place tomatoes and remaining ingredients into a pot. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes. You can simmer for longer if you want a thicker sauce.
  6. Serve with your favorite pasta, on pizza etc.
Recipe Notes

You can add any extras to this sauce that you like. Eg. onions, celery, carrot, mushrooms, herbs, and spices. This is a great base sauce and lends itself to a large number of different recipes 🙂 Enjoy!
