This thick and creamy salted caramel hot chocolate will take you to chocolate heaven! It tastes so decadent and rich, contains no dairy and is full of delicious plant based ingredients.
Dairy free and so rich and creamy! This is a fabulous vegan treat and you can even make it really thick and have it as a pudding for dessert. YUM!
Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate (Dairy Free)
Ingredients
- Main Ingredients
- 10 pitted Dates
- 2 cups Plant Milk (I used almond milk) 500 ml
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tbs Corn Starch
- 2 tbs Cocoa Powder
- Toppings
- Cocout Cream for topping, to taste
- Maple Syrup for topping, to taste
- coarse celtic sea salt for topping, to taste

Instructions
- Add all of the main ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Mine took about 1 minute.
- Pour into a pot and heat, stirring constantly until it thickens to your desired consistency.
- Pour into a mug and top with a dollop of coconut cream, a splash of maple syrup and a pinch of sea salt. YUM!

If you use oat milk, it will thicken naturally on its own. 🙂
