Savory French Toast

I love my savory flavors, so this vegan french toast recipe is one of my all time favorites. In fact it’s so good I included it in my Vegan Made Easy Cook Book!

As it’s approaching valentine’s day I suggest you consider making this for your loved one… or just treat yourself! It’s fast, tasty and highly adaptable to whatever flavors you like.

For me, I like hummus, cherry tomatoes, avocado slices with pan fried mushrooms for a fresh morning start!

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Add plant milk and mix until well combined.
  3. Coat bread in batter and put in a hot non-stick frying pan over medium to high heat. Turn heat lower if bread is cooking too fast.
  4. Cook on both sides till lightly crisped.
Recipe Notes

TIP: You could place these in the oven to stay warm.

Also, 2/3 cup plant milk makes a lovely thick coating for the toast. Use 1 cup plant milk for a thinner coating if you want a lighter toast coating or you have more bread to coat.
I prefer the thicker coating myself!
