    My daughter has to avoid 5 major food groups plus certain produce. This recipe looks great for her, except for the banana. Any substitutions for the banana you would recommend?

    BETTER than the original item it was named after. I did not have Maple Syrup on hand, so I now know I am a “bad” Canadian when an Aussie has it, and I don’t.
    So I used sweetener, brown sugar, and maple extract. A fair approximation I think. I do toast my oats, find they are more digestible.
    But Anja, this recipe is pure genius!! Am immediately sending to my daughter.
