Melted Vegan Smoked Cheese
* soak in the 1 cup of boiled water for 15 minutes
I use hickory flavored
Coarse Celtic Sea Salt, or to taste
Soak the cashews in the water for about 15 minutes to soften them.
Add the cashews (including the soaking water) and all other ingredients into a small blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Bring a non stick frypan to medium heat and add the blended liquid.
Stir constantly as the mixture will start to thicken very quickly. Keep stirring for a few minutes until thick and stretchy like melted cheese.
Remove from heat and eat or use immediately in other recipes, or store it in the fridge for up to about 5 days and use as needed.
