One of the questions I get asked the most is “How do I start eating more plant based foods?”
Well, the easiest way to get started is by making your breakfast 100% plant based.
Start your day with fruit, or a fruit smoothie, oatmeal, multi-grain toast with mushrooms and avocado etc.
Be sure to substitute traditional dairy milk with plant based options such as almond milk, soy milk or rice milk.
You may even choose one day a week where you don’t eat any meat, dairy or eggs… then gradually increase this to two or three days.
By substituting plant based foods for the animal based foods, you will soon see that eating healthy does not mean you are “missing out”. In fact, the more plant based you eat, the more your cravings for junk foods will decrease 🙂 Now that’s a good thing!
I used to eat and eat and eat and never feel full. I watched my weight go up and up, but I was addicted to the oily, salty and fatty junk foods that are so readily available all around us. I’m sure you know what I mean. There seems to be a Mc Donald’s within a 5 or 10 minute drive from most people these day… but try and find a fast-food vegan joint and I’m sure you’ll be struggling.
It can be hard to break food addiction, but once you read the research and realise that animal products are linked to heart disease, cancer and the so called “western diseases”, you’ll soon realise that it is the foods we eat that make us healthy or sick – the choice is yours…
So whether you go all in or you start by replacing your breakfasts with plant based options, the recipes you need are right here to help you and your loved ones start your road to health and feeling GREAT!!!!!!
