Watch what I eat as a vegan for 30 days: DAY 12 (VEGAN PICNIC)
Since becoming vegan about 14 months ago everyone always wonders what I eat now. Well, I’ve decided to do a 30 day video series which shows exactly what I’m eating and drinking each day.
I really like eating dates; I would like to try the date smoothie(that you made on day 12) tomorrow morning but was wondering if its ok to have this many dates in one day or if this is more for people who have a very active lifestyle. I am trying get back into shape and lose weight. Thank you, Joy
Hi Joy, thanks for your message. I usually have around 10 large dates when I make this smoothie for myself. This is a great source of iron so I like to have quite a few. I lost weight eating like this as they are a whole food and loaded with nutrition 🙂 Just try it and see how it works for you. The main thing to keep in mind if you want to lose weight is to avoid processed foods, keep it whole food and plant based and cut out the fats eg. added oil etc. I lost 24 kilos (over 50 pounds) and did not exercise at all for the first few months. Can you just use filtered water instead of coconut water? I’ve never used coconut water before.

Yes, you can just use filtered water… but give coconut water a try if you can. It’s super delicious and refreshing 🙂
