These vegan flax seed crackers are so easy to make. If you’ve been buying flax crackers from the shops, you’ll be kicking yourself that you didn’t have this recipe earlier. They’re crunchy and so much cheaper than store-bought! These go great with my vegan cheese or serve with your favorite dip.


1 cup oat flour (or almond meal)
1/2 cup flax seeds (whole or ground)
1/2 cup chia seeds
1 cup pumpkin seeds (or a mixture of seeds eg sesame, sunflower, pumpkin etc)
1/4 cup dried chives
1/4 cup dried onion flakes
1 tsp coarse celtic sea salt (I used smoked)
2 tsps dried sage leaves

1 tsp grated lemon rind
1 tbsp maple syrip
3/4 cup water


Preheat your oven to 160C/320F.

Add all of the dry ingredients to a bowl and mix well.

Add in the wet ingredients and stir again until really well combined.

Spread the mixture across 2 baking trays lined with non-stick parchment paper.

Bake for 20 minutes and then gently turn over and bake for another 10 minutes or so (could take longer depending on how crispy you want your crackers and how thin or thick you have made your batter).

Once they’re done to your liking, place them on a cooling rack and then break into pieces to serve.

Store your crunchy flax seed crackers in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
