This vegan lemon cream breakfast smoothie with oats is so creamy and delicious – and 100% plant based.
I like to have this either for breakfast or as an evening “dessert”. The froth serving tip that I show you in the video really takes this recipe to another level… yum!
Just a few simple ingredients and you have a taste sensation ready to enjoy.
Best of all, there’s no need for store bought protein powder!
This is absolutely my favorite breakfast smoothie with oats.
SERVES 1
Ingredients:
1/2 cup oats (organic rolled oats)
1 tbsp chia seeds (I used white chia seeds)
1/4 cup plant milk (I used oat milk)
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup coconut water
2 tsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
SERVING SUGGESTION: Froth some plant based milk (I used Bonsoy) and put on top of the smoothie in a glass. Sprinkle some lemon zest on top.
Directions:
Place all ingredients into a blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy (see video at top of page for visual instructions).
